Swedish Massage
A gentle massage with generally superficial, long flowing strokes to relax the mind and body. Swedish Massage increases circulation, flushes muscles and other tissues of toxins to support the immune system, and also decreases stress and muscle tension.
Deep Tissue Massage
This technique focuses on the deeper layers of muscle by using a firm pressure with the forearm or fingers and stretching. Deep Tissue is used to treat chronic pain, spasms, injury, and can also increase flexibility and range of motion.
Sports Massage
Similar to Deep Tissue but focusing on the athlete’s needs – whether it be supporting the muscles and other tissue through training, preparing for an event, or recovering from an injury.
Hot Stone Massage
This massage uses heated stones to lay on parts of the body like along the spine and on the hands and feet. The stones are also used with the massage strokes, which is similar to Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue. The heat from the stones helps the muscles release more quickly than traditional techniques. This massage is deeply relaxing for the mind and body.
Pregnancy/Prenatal Massage
Techniques similar to Swedish Massage are used to support the expectant mother through her pregnancy by supporting health and relieving some of the discomforts related to pregnancy.
Lymphatic Drainage
Designed to support the health of the lymphatic system through light, slow, repetitive strokes that move lymph fluid through the system of vessels and nodes.
